Terms and Conditions
Version 2.0 · in force from 1 September 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
These terms are between you and PT Bali Beach Volleyball, a company established in
Indonesia, operating Bali Volleyball Academy at Kerobokan, Bali ("BVA", "we", "us").
2. What these terms cover
They apply when you book a court, sign up for a session, class, tournament or camp,
buy a membership or a coaching pack, or create an account with us, whether online,
at reception, or through a message to our team.
3. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we accept it and, where payment is due in advance, when
that payment reaches us. Prices are those shown at the time you book. We may correct
an obvious pricing error before a booking is confirmed, and will tell you if we do.
Members pay member prices where a membership is active on the day of play. A paused
membership is not active, and member prices do not apply while it is paused.
4. Cancelling and changing
Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these
terms.
Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled by us for weather, court damage, coach
illness or safety. Where we cancel, you may move to another session or receive a
refund of what you paid for that session.
5. Memberships
A membership runs for the period you bought and does not renew automatically unless
you are told otherwise at the point of sale. Membership is personal to you and may
not be shared, lent or transferred.
A membership may be paused for up to the number of days stated in the membership
terms in force when you bought it, for travel or injury. Pausing extends the end date
by the same number of days. A paused membership grants no entitlements while paused.
Where a founding rate applies, it is stated at the point of sale, and the conditions
attached to it, including any limit on the number sold and any rule about lapsing,
form part of your membership.
6. Playing here, and the risks of sport
Beach volleyball, beach tennis and related activities carry a genuine risk of injury,
including sprains, fractures, collisions, heat illness and, rarely, serious injury.
Sand, weather and other players are part of that risk and cannot be removed.
By taking part, you confirm that you are physically fit to do so, that you have told
us about any condition that affects your safety, and that you accept the ordinary
risks of the sport. You must follow the instructions of our coaches and staff.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury
caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be
excluded under Indonesian law.
7. Behaviour
We ask everybody to be decent to each other. We may refuse entry, end a session, or
close an account where somebody is violent, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, under
the influence in a way that makes play unsafe, or repeatedly disruptive. Where we
close an account for these reasons we will refund the unused portion of anything
already paid, unless the conduct caused us loss.
8. Under 18s
A person under 18 may take part only with the consent of a parent or guardian, whose
name and contact number we hold. A parent or guardian remains responsible for their
child while at the venue unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
9. Photographs and video
We take photographs and video at the venue. You may say yes or no to us using images
of you in our own posts and marketing, and you may change that answer at any time by
telling us. We do not use images of under 18s in marketing without a parent or
guardian's separate and deliberate consent. Photographs are also taken by other
players and guests, over whom we have no control.
10. Your account
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it. You are
responsible for bookings made from your account, unless you have told us it was
compromised.
11. Things outside our control
We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control,
including weather, natural disaster, power or internet failure, government action, or
the closure of the venue by order of an authority.
12. Personal belongings
Bring what you need and look after it. We are not responsible for belongings lost,
damaged or stolen at the venue, except where the loss is caused by our negligence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version in force when you book is the version that
applies to that booking. Every version we publish is dated and kept, and you can ask
us for the version you agreed to.
14. Language
These terms are published in English and in Bahasa Indonesia. Where there is a
difference between the two, the Bahasa Indonesia version prevails.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Indonesian law. If something goes wrong, talk to us
first: most things are settled in a conversation at the desk. If it cannot be settled
that way, the courts of Indonesia have jurisdiction.
